How does Jesus feel about you listening to T.V. Evangelists that ask you to send them money with the implication that will help you be saved?

Jesus didn't ask anyone to give Him money... not so He could have a faster more modern donkey, or even a better house to entertain others while sharing His faith.

Although I can't totally know for sure how Jesus feels, I feel led to tell you that all too many T.V. Evangelists that I've seen on T.V. have fancy cars, fancy houses, fast planes, etc. You can't tell me that having these worldly possessions parallels what Jesus did. The Bible says: And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man hath not where to lay His head.  Matthew, Chapter 8, verse 20.

In my opinion, these T.V. Evangelists should live a more humble life, more in keeping with the way that Jesus lived, although I don't really mean that they shouldn't own a house or a car, but a modest one. Jesus would have used any money donated to help the less fortunate in keeping with these Bible verses.

*And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.  Leviticus, Chapter 23, verse 22.

*For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh rewardHe doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.  Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.  Deuteronomy, Chapter 10, verses 17-19.

*If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, in that which he wanteth.  Deuteronomy, Chapter 15, verses 7-8.

*When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands.  When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.  When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.  And thou shalt remember that thou wast a bondman in the land of Egypt: therefore I command thee to do this thing.  Deuteronomy, Chapter 24, verses 19-22.

*For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.  Psalm, Chapter 9, verse 18.

*Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.  The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and Thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.  Psalm, Chapter 41, verses 1-2.

*The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends.  He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he.  Proverbs, Chapter 14, verses 20-21.

*When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them.  Isaiah, Chapter 41, verse 17.

How does Jesus feel when we are embarrassed when others put down Christians and we say nothing?

How does Jesus feel when we are embarrassed when others put down Christians and we say nothing?

This is a truly difficult situation. I know, because I've been in it and don't know that I always fared too well. I've stayed silent, so that I didn't draw the wrath of others who were putting down Christians, I'm very ashamed to say. It's especially difficult when someone is standing there, putting down Christians saying, give me the proof.

The Bible says in Romans 1: 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth: to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Although I can't take away all the times that I didn't stand up for my faith the way Jesus would have wanted, He still forgave me when I asked Him and in that, I am so very, very blessed!

I've prayed for ways to help people come to know and love Jesus and all He's given for our salvation. Although I'm not always quick with giving proof to those who challenge the Christian faith, Jesus has led me to create blogs that show this proof.

How does Jesus feel about us Self-Righteous Christians who judge others as not worthy of salvation?

How does Jesus feel about us Self-Righteous Christians who judge others as not worthy of salvation?

So, if we get so caught up in feeling Self-Righteous in our faith in Jesus and judge others, are we really being the Christians that Jesus wants us to be?

In the Bible it says in John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

God didn't send His only begotten son, Jesus, to be born to condemn the world, but to save it, although we are all sinful. Don't you think He wouldn't want us judging the world, but would prefer for us to focus our energy on being better examples of the positive impact Jesus has had on our lives, and lead others to faith in Jesus.

It's easy for people to take pride in their faith in Christ, but does Jesus to look down on others who aren't Christian?

It's easy for people to take pride in their faith in Christ, but does Jesus to look down on others who aren't Christian?

Jesus doesn't want us to look down on others, period. We aren't better than others, but saved by the grace of Jesus, which is available to all who believe in Him. That doesn't make us better than others. Besides, if we are looking down on others, how are we being good examples of how Jesus works in our lives? Will those people be open to us sharing our faith in Jesus when we have a self-righteous attitude? ...something to be prayerful about.

It says in 1 John 4: 9: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
