How does Jesus feel when, so called Christians, follow after those who suggest that they should use the God-power within them to accomplish all their desires?
For God, who commanded the Light to shine out of darkness, hath shined
in our hearts, to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the
face of Jesus Christ. But we have this Treasure
in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of
us. 2 Corinthians 4: 6-7.
I realize that there are many who proclaim to be Christians and try to talk others into using the God-power within them to accomplish things, but that's definitely not what Jesus wants. God wants us to turn to Him in all things, believing that He will give us what is His will. God always sees the BIG PICTURE and knows what is best for us and what is not. Not all the things we pray for are really the best and sometimes there are things even better for us ahead, if we wait for God's timing! There is NOTHING in the Bible, and I've read it from cover to cover many times over the years, that even suggests that Jesus encourages us to use the God-power within us. Anything that might sound remotely like that is from people distorting God's word and using it out of context!
What Do Our Actions Say When Jesus Calls Us? Sometimes, the lack of action conveys more than we imagine, but there's still time to make changes! Yeah, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for Thee; the Desire of our soul is to Thy name, and to the remembrance of Thee. Isaiah 26:8
