How Does Jesus Feel When We Get Concerned About the Opinions of Others and How They Might Look Down on Us as Christians?
I get it! It's difficult to be a Christian in front of others. It's too easy to blend in with the shallow lives of others, because we don't want to be judged by our peers!
I think this passage is saying that it's not the judgment by our peers that should really matter to us, but God who gave His Own Son for us. We should console ourselves with the comfort that Jesus gives us in times like this rather than just blend in with the crowd.
In Romans 8:31-32 it says: What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He Who Did not spare His Own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things.
