It's easy for people to take pride in their faith in Christ, but does Jesus to look down on others who aren't Christian?

Jesus doesn't want us to look down on others, period. We aren't better than others, but saved by the grace of Jesus, which is available to all who believe in Him. That doesn't make us better than others. Besides, if we are looking down on others, how are we being good examples of how Jesus works in our lives? Will those people be open to us sharing our faith in Jesus when we have a self-righteous attitude? ...something to be prayerful about.

It says in 1 John 4: 9: In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
