How Can We Say We Are One in the Spirit with God, because We Are Baptized, but Ignore Opportunities to Share How Jesus Gave His Life for Us?
This Jesus was baptized by the water, but that wasn't enough to free us from our sins. Jesus had to be willing to shed His blood for us, as well, to make atonement for our sinful choices. Sometimes, we just focus on the baptism part, but don't focus on the grace we have through Jesus' sacrifice on our behalf.
Or we know it exists, but try to make sure that we aren't in situations where we might have to share this information with others. I'm not casting the first stone, because I have done this more times than I would like to admit. Does that make it right??? No way! Jesus gave His life for us, we have to be willing to withstand some potential disapproval of others in order to share the opportunity of salvation with them!
This is He who came by water and blood-Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father the Word [Jesus], and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one. 1 John 5:6-7
What Do Our Actions Say When Jesus Calls Us? Sometimes, the lack of action conveys more than we imagine, but there's still time to make changes! Yeah, in the way of thy judgments, O Lord, have we waited for Thee; the Desire of our soul is to Thy name, and to the remembrance of Thee. Isaiah 26:8
