When We Look to Our Political Leaders As Role Models and Get Caught Up in Hatred of Others, Are We Letting Jesus Abide in Us?
It makes me wonder how Jesus feels about all the hatred and bias we see in the world today, some of it spurred by the negative actions and rhetoric of those at the top. Who are we supposed to follow?
1 John 2: 23-24 says: A
nd this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He [Jesus] in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
