In this time when people re-frame untruths and say they are true, will Jesus say it doesn't matter too much, because lots of the politicians do it?

Whoso privaly[privately] slandereth [slanders] his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer. Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with Me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve Me. He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within My house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in My sight. Psalm 101:5-7

It doesn't sound to me that Jesus takes it lightly when people lie, slander others, or are deceitful. Just because some politicians do it these days, doesn't make it right!
