Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon Him: for He careth for you. 1 Peter 5: 5-7

It's difficult in today's society, to not get caught up in sending media to others who are always bragging to you. The thing is, Jesus knows how this pride can corrupt our soul. That's why He warns us several times in the Bible about pride and humility. Here are a few passages:

The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. Proverbs, Chapter 15, verse 33.

*Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. Proverbs, Chapter 16, verse 5.

*Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him. Proverbs, Chapter 26, verse 12.

*Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. Proverbs, Chapter 27, verses 1-2.
