Do Your Actions Say that You Don't Want Your Friends to Know You're a Christian?

And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by the reason of whom the Way of Truth shall be evil spoken of.  2 Peter:2

Do we sit idly by when our friends put down others who believe in Jesus? Do we find ourselves trying to be more discreet about our faith, so we don't bring about their ridicule? Has their opinion of us become more important than Jesus' opinion of us? This is what Jesus wants of us:

Jesus says, "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matthew 5:14-16
