When We Blame God for Us Giving into Temptations, How Does Jesus Feel About It?

When We Blame God for Us Giving into Temptations, How Does Jesus Feel About It?

It says in James 1: 12-15: Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Let no one say when he is tempted, "I am tempted of God"; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death. Need I say more?

When We Don't Know What to Do, What Does Jesus Want from Us?

When We Don't Know What to Do, What Does Jesus Want from Us?

The Epistle of James says in 1:5- 6 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who give to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.

So, when I pray asking for Jesus' guidance in a matter, I need to pray in a way that conveys that. I might say, "Dear Lord, I don't know which decision to make in this particular situation, but You, O Lord, do. Please guide me and have me open to only making the decision that You want and not what I might want. Please make me gracious in my interactions with the others involved and give me the willingness to listen to Your guidance. I ask this in Jesus name if it is Your will. Amen."

How Does Jesus Feel About People Who, Call It Like It Is?

How does Jesus feel about people who, Call it like it is?

It says in James 1: 26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless.

Also in James 3:3-10  Indeed, we put bits in horses' mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body. Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds, they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. Even so the tongue is a little member and boasts great things. See how great a forest a little fire kindles! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell.  For every kind of beast and bird, of reptile and creature of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by mankind. But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing, My brethren, these things ought not to be so.

These Bible Passages don't appear to me to be saying that Jesus approves of us Calling it like it is, especially when to do so is hateful or undermines the opinions of others!

How Does Jesus Feel About So Called Criminals?

How Does Jesus Feel About So Called Criminals?

Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. Remember the prisoners as if chained with them-those who are mistreated-since you yourselves are in the body also. Hebrews 13:2-3

So, are we better than common criminals? The answer is no! It amazes me of how easily we have deluded ourselves to thinking we are better than others by comparison to someone who seems to be in a worse state.  I'm not that heavy, because, at least, I don't weigh as much as so and so!

Yeah, I may have fudged on my taxes some, but at least I'm not as bad as those common criminals in jail. We are reminded through this verse that we are all in the body [of Christ.] It appears to me, that Christ doesn't want us getting high-minded thinking that we are better than them.

This isn't just saying that we shouldn't think that we are better than others, but to befriend some who look less than desirable, because who knows, for by so doing some have entertained angels. How are we going to have these experiences that Christ puts in our lives, if we are too busy judging others?

How does Jesus feel when we look up to the rich and famous and try to emulate them and their good fortune?

How does Jesus feel when we look up to the rich and famous and try to emulate them and their good fortune?

It's confusing, at times. You would think that those who are rich and famous are really blessed by Jesus and those who have little are not, but that's not accurate! You'll see that in the verse below:

Exodus 33:19 And He said, I will make all My goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.

There are times when I felt that I was being punished when I didn't have things as easy as my siblings. In hind sight, I realize that by having to work harder for things that weren't just given easily to me, helped develop my work ethic and my appreciation for what God has given me.

Sometimes, getting things on a silver platter is not what is best for us. Those things can undermine the faith and actions of many, although there are some who maintain their faith through it all.

People used to look down on the handicapped or diseased, because they must have done something wrong that Jesus was punishing them for, when that really isn't the case. Sometimes, Jesus works through those with diseases and handicapping conditions to show His handiwork in their lives making them inspirations to others.
