When we feel persecuted by others whether in the workplace or elsewhere, would Jesus like us turning to others for help instead of turning to Him first?

When we feel persecuted by others whether in the workplace or elsewhere, would Jesus like us turning to others for help instead of turning to Him first?

Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies. Psalm 60:11-12

Now, if we turn to God first and foremost, He will give us the instincts of what to do. Maybe that involves contacting the appropriate people to report inappropriate activity and maybe not. Jesus always knows the BIG PICTURE and knows what's best for us in the long run!

If I am worried and afraid, am I telling Jesus that I don't trust Him to protect me?

When I cry unto Thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. In God will I praise His word: in the Lord will I praise His word. In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. Psalm 56:9-11

This passage reminds me of the song link below. They used this song in Vacation Bible School and I just absolutely love the message and had to buy the CD to hear it periodically: If God is for me, who can be against me?  Enjoy! It has a wonderful message!

When we think the poor should be earning a living rather than getting social services, are we truly having the mindset that Jesus would want?

When we think the poor should be earning a living rather than getting social services, are we truly having the mindset that Jesus would want?

Blessed is he that consdereth the poor: the Lord will deliver him in time of trouble. The Lord will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. The Lord will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness [restore him in his sickness]. Psalm 41: 1-3

This is very significant to me. Not only does it please Jesus when we take care of the needs of the poor, but Jesus tells us through the Bible that we will be blessed and he will deliver us in times of trouble and illness. How amazing is that?!!!! Of course, Jesus wants us to do this with a willing heart, not just that we get some type of reward!

If you go around complaining, does that mean that you don't appreciate that Jesus gave His life for you, so you could have eternal life in heaven with Him some day?

If you go around complaining, does that mean that you don't appreciate that Jesus gave His life for you, so you could have eternal life in heaven with Him some day?

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. Jude v:16

It's so easy to get caught up in complaining. I've done it myself more times than I'd like to admit. The thing is, when we complain, it could sound to Jesus like we are ungrateful for all He's gone through and done for us. He gave up the easy life in heaven and came down and became man to suffer the same things other humans do. This perfect Son of God, was betrayed by his so-called friend, Judas, was mocked, spit upon, was crucified and was buried.

Fortunately for us, He is the Son of God and He arose the third day to save us from all our sins, if we believe in Him. It seems like one of many of these sins is complaining that we don't have more and be ungrateful for all He's already given us.
